"Modares Mechanical Engineering" is one of the TMU Press journals that is published monthly under the supervision of the Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board. This Journal is a multi-disciplinary, peer-reviewed journal covering all areas in mechanical engineering. All articles published by the journal are made freely and permanently accessible online immediately upon publication, without subscription charges.

Principles of Transparency

Peer-review process

All submitted articles are evaluated at the submission to meet the structural and subject principles of Modares Mechanical Engineering. The matched articles will gone under a double-blinded peer-review process by at least 3 reviewers (expert in the field who are not part of the journal’s editorial staff) who are selected by the Editorial Board members according to their field specialties. The Editorial Board members have the final responsibility to select the articles.
 
Governing body
Modares Mechanical Engineering is under the scientific control of Editorial Board whose members are recognized experts in the subject areas included within the journal’s scope. Some executive roles of the Editorial Board members are delegated to the Editor-in-Chief who is well-known in the journal’s scope.
 
Editorial team
Modares Mechanical Engineering is under the scientific supervision of the Editorial Team whose members are all experts with high number of publications in their field.
 
Author fees/Access
There are No Fees or Charges at all for submission, reviewing and publishing processes in Modares Mechanical Engineering.
Modares Mechanical Engineering follows the Bethesda Statement on Open Access Publishing.

Process for identification of and dealing with allegations of research misconduct
Publisher and editors of Modares Mechanical Engineering are reasonable to identify and prevent the publication of papers where research misconduct has occurred, including plagiarism, citation manipulation, and data falsification/fabrication, among others. In doing so, Modares Mechanical Engineering follows COPE’s guidelines in dealing with allegations.

Conflicts of interests
All Modares Mechanical Engineering Editorial Board members and the Editor-in-Chief submitted articles are gone under the same reviewing process as the other authors gone. In the cases that a reviewer suspects undisclosed conflict of interest in a submitted manuscript or a reader suspects undisclosed conflict of interest in a published article (all authors are filling the ICMJE Form for Disclosure of Potential Conflicts of Interest at the submission time) Modares Mechanical Engineering will follow COPE’s guidelines.
 
Revenue sources/Advertising/Direct marketing
Modares Mechanical Engineering is financially supported completely by Tarbiat Modares University, Iran, and has no other sources for earning funds. Modares Mechanical Engineering accepts No advertisements in the site or even as a report article.
 
Publishing schedule/Archiving
Modares Mechanical Engineering is published 4 issues per year. All the content from the beginning to the end will be available for ever on Modares Mechanical Engineering exclusive website. Also Modares Mechanical Engineering is included at EBSCOhost and has the plan to enter to Scopus and Thomson-Reuters databases.

Submission declaration 

Submission of an article implies that the work described has not been published previously, that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere, that its publication is approved by all authors and tacitly or explicitly by the responsible authorities where the work was carried out, and that, if accepted, it will not be published elsewhere including electronically in the same form, in Persian or in any other language, without the written consent of the copyright-holder.

Open Access 

All articles published by Journal are made freely and permanently accessible online immediately upon publication, without subscription charges or registration barriers.

Please write your full text in Persian. The full title, abstract and author information should be provided in English.

Submission 

Submission to this journal proceeds totally online and you will be guided stepwise through the creation and uploading of your files. All correspondence, including notification of the Editor's decision and requests for revision, takes place by e-mail removing the need for a paper trail.

Reviewers

Please submit, with the manuscript, the names, addresses and e-mail addresses of five potential referees. Note that the editor retains the sole right to decide whether or not the suggested reviewers are used.

Changes to authorship 

This policy concerns the addition, deletion, or rearrangement of author names in the authorship of accepted manuscripts:
Before the accepted manuscript is published in an online issue: Requests to add or remove an author, or to rearrange the author names, must be sent to the Journal Manager from the corresponding author of the accepted manuscript and must include: (a) the reason the name should be added or removed, or the author names rearranged and (b) written confirmation (e-mail, fax, letter) from all authors that they agree with the addition, removal or rearrangement. In the case of addition or removal of authors, this includes confirmation from the author being added or removed. Requests that are not sent by the corresponding author will be forwarded by the Journal Manager to the corresponding author, who must follow the procedure as described above. Note that: (1) Journal Managers will inform the Journal Editors of any such requests and (2) publication of the accepted manuscript in an online issue is suspended until authorship has been agreed.
After the accepted manuscript is published in an online issue: Any requests to add, delete, or rearrange author names in an article published in an online issue will not accept.
