Abstract

In one way, public policy scholarship has enriched considerably and stage heuristics approach (problem identification. Proposing, affirmation, implementation, and evaluation) has replaced by new theoretical views such as punctuated equilibrium theory, advocacy coalition framework, multiple streams framework, policy diffusion model, and so on. On the other way, there are three emergent research streams in policy scholarship: (1) using theoretical views on different policy areas and then comparing their explanatory power, (2) comparing theoretical views together, and (3) combing and integrating them to achieve grand theoretical view. Yet, examinations revealed that Iranian policy scholars only use policy stage heuristic as an analytical lens and don’t consider testing, critiquing, and developing new theoretical lens of policy process. In this regard, we have recommended many guidelines to tuning up and accelerating policy studies in Iran.

Abstract

The high rate of extensive changes in the contemporary environment creates more difficult conditions for organizations and disrupts their performance. Therefore, the ability of organizations to maintain proper performance has become important in recent years despite the crises that have occurred. One of the important issues in this situation is how can improve the reliability of organizations or the ability to maintain their proper performance in crisis conditions. Organizational reliability has two hard and soft areas that the dimensions of its hard area have attracted the attention of researchers for several decades but the dimensions of its soft area have been less addressed. In this way, despite the scope of wide application and the recent theoretical attention focused on the dimensions of the soft area of organizational reliability, still the dimensions and components of this type of reliability have not been identified and formulated in a way that can help its implementation in organizations. Therefore, this research has tried to extract main and sub-themes and codes which were renamed the soft dimensions, components and indicators of organizational reliability by using the sequential exploratory mixed research design based on semi-structured interviews and review of published articles and using thematic analysis method (qualitative research) and in the second step, use confirmatory factor analysis to determine construct validity. The obtained result is a valid measure for measuring reliability in organizations.

Abstract

Regarding the progress in technology and increase in the capabilities of the robots, one of the main challenges in the field of robotics is the problem of real-time and collision-free path planning of robots. This paper focuses on the problem of path planning of a 3-DOF decoupled parallel robot called Tripteron in the presence of obstacles. The proposed algorithm is a synergy-based algorithm of convex optimization, disjunctive programming and model predictive control. This algorithm has many advantages compared to previous methods reported in the literature including not getting stuck in the local optimums and finding the global optimum and high computational speeds. Finally, the algorithm will be implemented on a model of the real robot. It should be mentioned that this algorithm has been implemented using Gurobi optimization package with C++ programming language in Qt Creator environment and the simulation of the parallel mechanism is performed by the CAD2MAT package for MATLAB. Obtained results reveal that the maximum computational time at each step is less that one second which, for this particular application, could be regarded as a real-time algorithm.

Abstract

Citrus is one of the most important fruits whose growth performance and production is significantly affected by environmental stresses. Abiotic stresses, such as salinity and alkaline pH, strikingly limit citrus growth and development. The aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of four NaCl concentrations (0, 30, 60, 90 mM) and two pH levels (6.5 and 8.2) on some of morphological, physiological, and biochemical parameters of two citrus rootstocks (Sour orange and Bakraei rootstocks). The experiment was conducted as factorial based on a completely randomized design with four replications, at the Faculty of Agriculture, Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz, Iran. The results showed that the value of shoot dry weight, fresh and dry weight of roots, and transpiration were significantly decreased in both Bakraei and Sour orange rootstocks when receiving irrigation with 90 mM supplement of salinity at pH= 8.2. Proline and carbohydrates of citrus rootstocks were considerably increased by increasing the levels of salinity (90 mM NaCl) and alkaline stress (pH= 8.2) in each rootstock, at which condition the photosynthesis rate of Sour orange and Bakraei also declined by 34.77 and 50.80%, respectively. The activity of antioxidant enzymes such as peroxidase, catalase, and superoxide dismutase were increased by 57.42, 42.10, and 45.86% in Sour orange rootstock and 42.04, 26.78, and 37.92% in Bakraei rootstock, respectively. Overall, it can be concluded that the growth performance of Sour orange rootstock is more suitable than Bakraei to tolerate salt-alkali conditions.
