Abstract

The benefiting of the residents of the border areas from the appropriate facilities will lead to sustainable security and the lack of suitable conditions for the border residents will face the residents of the interior areas of the country with security threats. One of the most important border points in eastern Iran is the Mirjaveh border. The present study tries to evaluate the border security policies of the Islamic Republic of Iran in this area through field and documentary studies. Using the theory of the Copenhagen School, this article tries to answer this question: "what are the problems of border control policies at the Mirjavah border point with Pakistan and how it can lead to lasting security in the eastern regions, especially in the city of Mirjavah?". The findings of this article show that border control policies in Iran have mainly had hardware effects. The findings also show that the economic, social and cultural situation at this border point is lower than the national average, and this policy- making approach does not solve problems and even in some cases exacerbates insecurity in the region.

Abstract

Aims: This study aimed to determine the correlation between health-promoting hospitals’ standards and nurses’ caring behaviors.
Instrument & Methods: This correlational study was conducted on 228 nurses working in hospitals affiliated with Birjand University of Medical Sciences in 2021 in Birjand, Iran. The research instruments included the demographic characteristics checklist, the Caring Behavior Inventory, and the World Health Organization’s Health Promotion Standards Adherence Scale.
Findings: There was a significant positive correlation between the total score of health-promoting hospital standards and the total score of nurses’ caring behaviors from the perspective of nurses (p<0.001, r=0.494). Likewise, there was a significant positive correlation between all dimensions of health-promoting hospitals’ standards and all dimensions of nurses’ caring behaviors (p<0.001).
Conclusion: Hospitals enhance nurses’ caring behavior by following health-promoting hospital standards and fostering a positive work environment with improved inter-professional relationships.

Abstract

Bread is an important and influential element in our Iranian culture of nutrition and lifestyle. This study addresses the sociological explanation of the consumption of this essential commodity among the citizens of Tehran. The statistical population consists of all the citizens of Tehran living in areas 3, 7 and 19. 184 people were questioned and data were collected through a questionnaire. Data analysis method is Structural equation modeling that has been one of the few multivariate methods. Data collected has been analyzed through the Amos software. Accordingly, a theoretical model is estimated in which economic, cultural and social capital (social trust) forms external and independent variables, and the bread consumption variable is also included as an internal variable dependent on the model. Also, the lifestyle variable plays the role of mediator variable in the model. The basis for the formation of this theoretical model has been Pierre Bourdieu. The findings show that, in general, experimental data supports theoretical model. That is, bread consumption can be explained within the framework of the model. Among the different hypotheses of the hypothesis that have shown the relationship of lifestyle and social trust with the consumption of bread have been confirmed. Other variables are directly related to the consumption of bread, but this relationship is weak and therefore their related hypotheses are not statistically valid. Of course, two variables of cultural capital and economic capital have a significant relationship with the variable of lifestyle. This could mean their indirect impact on the bread consumption variable
