Aims and Scope:
Modares Mechanical Engineering Journal is one of the journals published by Tarbiat Modares University and is issued under the scientific responsibility of the Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Board. Since 1996, this journal has covered articles in all fields of mechanical engineering. All articles are published free of charge and are permanently available to readers without any additional cost.
Peer-Review Policy:
The journal follows a single-blind peer review process, in which the reviewers’ identities remain anonymous to the authors. Submitted manuscripts are first evaluated for compliance with the journal’s principles and for structural and thematic suitability.
Subsequently, each manuscript is reviewed by at least two expert reviewers selected by the Editor-in-Chief and the Section Editor based on their area of expertise.
Reviewers’ Responsibilities:
Reviewers assist the Editor-in-Chief in the evaluation and final decision-making process for manuscripts. In practice, they help authors improve their manuscripts through the Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Board.
Additional Notes:
The corresponding author is considered responsible for all correspondence, and their approval at each stage is regarded as the approval of all authors.
Withdrawal or retraction of a manuscript is possible prior to the start of the peer review process.
If the journal’s response during the review stage (from structural approval to the announcement of reviewers’ comments) exceeds three months, the corresponding author may request withdrawal of the manuscript.
Initial evaluation and referral of a manuscript for peer review do not guarantee acceptance by the reviewers.
The Editor-in-Chief may accept or reject a manuscript at any stage of the review process. The number of review/revision rounds or the duration of the review process does not create any entitlement for the authors.
The journal reserves full authority over copyediting. Failure of the corresponding author to cooperate with the editorial team will result in termination of the manuscript process.
Open Access Policy:
This journal is an open-access publication, meaning that all content is freely available to users and their institutions without charge. Users are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, provided that proper attribution is given, without prior permission from the publisher or the authors.
Publication Ethics:
This journal adheres to ethical standards in publishing and follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). It also complies with the executive regulations of the law on the prevention and confrontation of fraud in scientific works.
Licensing Policy:
This Journal is licensed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial "(CC BY-NC)" This license lets others remix, tweak, and build upon your work non-commercially, and although their new works must also acknowledge you and be non-commercial, they don’t have to license their derivative works on the same terms.
Author Fees:
Modares Mechanical Engineering Journal does not charge any fees for manuscript submission, acceptance, or publication and is completely free of charge.
Self-Archiving Policy for Authors:
Authors are permitted to post their works online in institutional/disciplinary repositories or on their personal websites. Preprint versions posted online must include a citation and a link to the final published version in the journal as soon as the issue becomes available. Postprint versions (including the publisher’s final PDF) must include a citation and a link to the journal’s website.
Copyright Policy:
Under the open-access license, authors retain the copyright of their content but grant permission for anyone to download, reuse, reprint, modify, distribute, and/or copy the content, provided that the original authors and the source are properly acknowledged.
